THI Insurance
THI Insurance (a member of the Tetrad Group of companies) was formed in 1938 when the scheme was administered as a growers insurance co-operative, and over the years has developed into a professional insurer well known to the Zimbabwean tobacco community.

THI Insurance has subsequently expanded its range of insurance services to include the full range of farming insurance as well as household, vehicle and personal possessions insurance.

THI is Zimbabwe’s most trusted and recognised insurer to the farming community.

Hail and Windstorm Insurance
THI offers insurance cover against hail and windstorm damage to small scale and commercial tobacco farmers, covering damage to the crop from three weeks after planting up to and including reaping. The essence of the scheme is to protect the grower’s costs of production so that in the event of major damage being sustained the compensation paid to the grower will enable him to at least cover growing costs for the following season.
